Located in Veen, a village in the municipality of Altena in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant. Veen is characterized by its location on the Afgedamde Maas. A ferry crosses this river to Aalst. The name of the ferry is Aalst-Veen. To the southeast of the village and opposite Spijk lies the Wijkse Waard, a floodplain and nature reserve.
